Before Africa!!

Leaving California was pretty hard only because I have made some really great friends that I might not get to see for a very long time :/ Everyone was so great though in letting me come over for the last time and visit and letting my dad come too!!! That was pretty great all in itself!!! I loved having my dad to help!! I felt bad that I had him doing so many lame things… but he was so helpful and I can’t thank him enough!!! He always helps whenever I need it!!!

Its been great being home!! Being in transition is not always fun… but getting to see everyone and catch up a little before leaving has been awesome!!! Thanks for all the wonderful food and letting me cook and bake like all the time!!! I have a feeling I will miss it while in Rwanda.

I have visited so many awesome people and have enjoyed it immensely!!! Thanks everyone for taking time to hangout or at least chat for a short time with me!! I wish now I had gotten pictures with everyone I visited :/ not very smart on my part… but it meant a lot to me so thank you thank you thank you!!

While home we had a little baby shower for Joslyn at Applebee’s!!! That was awesome and thanks to all who came and supported Joslyn!!! I am glad I was able to make it to that!!!

We also had a baby shower for Kaylee :) that was wonderful!!! Plus I didn’t have to help and neither did my mom… I know that meant a lot to her since I was adding extra stress to life this month :/ It was so great and Kaylee got lots of great things for her new bundle of joy coming in a month!!!!

I had a busy month… It was great though!! Mom helped me to put on a bridal shower for America!!! It looked great and I am happy we got to hang out so much!! At the bridal shower lots of friends came and it made my heart so happy!!!
There was the 15 minutes of awesomeness as my two very best friends were in the same room at the same time!!! Basically best day ever :) I didn’t think this would ever happen but I have a picture to prove it!!! Thanks to both of you for basically making my life and keeping me smiling though everything!! I know I would not be who I am today if it weren’t for these two gals!!! Thanks a million times over :)
There was lots of time with nieces and nephews and lots of laughs!! I love all my family and was so happy to get to spend time with them!!! Getting to see Joslyn is always a treat now that she lives in Pocatello!!! I was happy to come for the day and help tie dye :) Tie dying is always a favorite past time!!

My family thought I was crazy but I actually wanted a few pictures of family before I left so here is one of all us good looking Fitzgerald girls!! I realize some of you might have different last names now… but it’s too hard to say each one :)
Grandma and grandpa came to visit and that was awesome!! It was great to hear about their new house and I can’t wait to see it in two years when it’s finished!! Then of course it was great to see mom and dad!!! I can’t thank them enough for all their help in getting me to this point and allowing me to pursue all my crazy dreams :) They are great examples of working hard and never giving up!! Also to keep smiling through everything :) Thanks mom and dad!!!

While I was home I also got to visit Sam and his new wife!! Sam and her fiancĂ© Sam ;) and it was good to see friends at church in the family ward as well as in the YSA ward in Rigby!! It was great to spend time with Becca and to get to see Melissa!! I am glad I got to see Kevin and Jacob as well as Micah, Terri and a bunch of my professors from school!!!There were so many people I know I am forgetting many :/ and I am super sorry… but it meant a lot to me and I am glad to have to many people supporting me and praying for me as I leave for this adventure!!!

Also, thanks family for putting up with eating Ice cream every day for the past month :) I am going to miss not having it in my freezer at any time and wanted to get a good fix before leaving!! I will expect to eat some more when I get home!!!

And then there was the regular food!!! I love my mom’s Mexican food and she made it four times for me while I was home!!! It was the best!! We also had corn beef sandwiches!!! And we had a lot of fruit and Dutch ovened potatoes!!! Basically a month of everything Bre loves!!!

So I have no idea what to take with me… Its hard to know and I am getting scared that I am forgetting something  :/ hahaha I hope all my bags get to Africa too!! I would hate to not have my luggage and stuff I have planned to have… that would make me sad!!

How do you even plan for two years?? I have no idea if what I am taking is a little or a lot… it seems like a lot to try to carry alone through an airport :/ but then I think about only having these things for two years and I just can’t believe that’s all I am taking!!!

Well I am going to hang with the family and try to get some sleep before heading out tomorrow!!! Wish me luck and know I love you all :) I will miss you like crazy but I know this is what I need to do!! See you all in two years!!!
